The beaches are a mixture of sand and pebbles and are perfect for families. Lyme Regis is ideal for relaxing on the main sandy beach which gently slopes out too see, great for paddling and young swimmers.If you want to try some fossilising join one of the many guided fossil walks. Head to Monmouth Beach to the West, or off to the far East towards Charmouth, which is also amazing for rock pooling when the tide is out.
