St Michael's Church, Church Stowe Nine, Weedon, Northamptonshire This beautifully carved marble memorial is that of Lady Elizabeth Carey, mother of the Earl of Danby. She died in 1630 The work was done by the King's master mason, Nicholas Stone, at a cost of £220 and was commisioned in 1620, so unike many memorial tombs this is in fact a good portrail of the lady in question.
