Natural Gray Fireplace Mantel Beam – White Star
As much as people seem to be looking for gray mantels, they are tough to find. On the other hand, this is a fine example of a high grade gray material.
Barn Beam Mantel – Simple, Red Oak with Curved Edges
This is a very simple, red oak barn beam mantel. Overall, this mantel shows off the nice auburn browns that red oak can achieve. The face is has a mottled color with a lighter, curved top and bottom.
Small Mantel Shelf – Dark White Oak with Sapwood Bottom
This is a cute, little, but kind of elegant rustic mantel. Do those words -- elegant and rustic -- go together? I think they can. The top portion is a white oak that has naturally darkened over time.
Carved Barnwood Fireplace mantel. This is a first for us. We found an old wood carver in his 70s that loves to carve. Because beams are a bit combersome, we gave him a piece of barnwood to carve. We built a box around it and got this. It turned out great. 10 in tall x 9in deep by 63in wide. $550
JIFFY PLANTER MANTEL - 6in Tall by 6 1/2 Deep by 71in Long Red Elm Log Cabin Timber. These pictures show the mantel much lighter than reality. This one comes from a log cabin near Kimball, MN and dates back to the 1800s. While we don't like to take log cabins down, this was already a pile of logs when we got to it. $600
