When I saw that this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge theme was Patterned Paper, I decided to make some medals with colorful paper "ribbons": The metal portion of my medals started out as mini tart tins that I found at a thrift store. I smashed them flat (which did pain me a smidge, I will admit) and used that as my starting point. The paper centers of my medals were punched with a 2" circle punch. Crafty Lady A year round ornament with display! This original vintage/antique ornament was created with an 1800's damaged German bisque doll head and arms. Some of the embellishments: vintage tape ruler, vintage thread, vintage tiny scissor finding, vintage thimble. It comes with the box stand that I hand made. Grand Dutchess number 86 (the Rose Dutchess) This lovely lady measures 9 3.4" tall, not including the loop of wire on her headpiece. She is a bit chunkier than some of her slimmer relatives. Her head is 100+ year old bisque which is faded and scuffed. Her head piece was created with a lovely, 3 1/4" (!) pin featuring a large deep rose stone, and carefully pieced antique and vintage jewelry parts, mostly clear rhinestone.
