Three Ponds St.Gallen – This is my Saint Gallen
A swim at the Drei Weieren, or "Three Pools", "Three Ponds", "Three Lakes", above St Gallen is like a journey back in time. Located on a hill below Mount Freuden, south of the abbey cathedral these three ponds are an oasis of peace and calm in the city. The natural swimming area with a magnificent view over the historic city of St.Gallen and Lake Constance is a delight.
Abbey Cathedral St.Gallen – This is my Saint Gallen
Constructed from 1755-70, St. Gallen Cathedral is one of the last monumental sacred buildings in Europe of the late baroque period and features eastern and western rotundas that symmetrically frame the nave and chancel. In 1983 the Abbey was declared a Unesco World Cultural Heritage Site.
St.Gallen, Saint Gallen, Saint Gall, San Gallo – This is my Saint Gallen
I’m a proud Saint Gallen Citizen. I wasn't born here and didn't raised here but i call this city my home since 2001. When someone asks me what they should know when visiting Saint Gallen for the first time, I don’t always know where to start as there’s so many things to do in Saint Gallen. I sincerely hope you enjoy your stay Saint Gallen!
