Gunta Stolzl (1897-1983) was een Duits textielkunstenares. In 1925, kort na de verhuizing van de school naar Dessau, werd ze lerares in het weefatelier van Bauhus. Er kwamen veel nieuwe ideeën van weefafdeling die ook werden overgenomen door de industrie. Stölzl legde contacten met andere bedrijven om Bauhaus-producten en -textiel te verkopen en de weefwerkplaats werd een commercieel succes.
