'Wandervogel' (27 87 Perfumes, 2016) by Shyamala Maisondieu features a captivating accord of Maghrebi nana mint and Japanese shiso leaves with marine notes. White flowers in the heart are spiced up with anise and fennel leading to a sand accord which is made sparkling and iridescent with the toppy white musk Sylkolide.
Pomarose was first overdosed by David Apel in 'Unforgivable' (Sean John, 2006), where it is central in the main Champagne accord. The feminine counterpart 'Unforgivable Woman' (Sean John, 2007) also by David Apel features a Piña Colada accord juxtaposed to a cassis theme. Pomarose introduces here more subtly a powdery-floral heart that then dries down in a sensual musk fond with 6% of Serenolide.

There is a marine side to roses and in 'Lʼ Eau De Rose' (Ramon Monegal, 2009) Azurone nicely enhances this in a buquet of rose, tea rose and Taïf rose. Neroli adds freshness, patchouli and musks classical fixation. The roses in 'Lovely Day' (Ramon Monegal, 2010) are white tea roses, and also here Azurone adds an aquatic edge. Jasminic floralcy and blackcurrant provide radiance, orris and cedar a powdery feeling, and licorice an unusual contrast. Two innovative and lovely rose scents.
‘The One Sport’ (Dolce Gabanna, 2012) by Guillaume Flavigny with its armoise-infused crisp high-pitch Serenolide muskiness extended by the clever use of cyclodextrins. In the top and heart, aquatic and zesty facets are in perfect harmony with an agrestic theme around rosemary, amyris and patchouli.

The modern fougère ‘Legend’ (Mont Blanc, 2011) by Olivier Pescheux and Celine Perdriel centers around the interplay of the dried fruits note of Pomarose and the oakmoss odorant Evernyl. The results gives an elegant impression of black ink. Top: bergamot, lavender, green pineapple leaf, Litsea Cubeba. Heart: Evernyl, geranium, coumarin, apple, rose, and Pomarose. Fond: sandalwood, tonka, and Evernyl.
