A RARE GOLD AND ENAMEL WATCH IN THE FORM OF A DUTCH CLOG CIRCA 1815. • verge movement • white enamel dial, Arabic numerals, the dial concealed within the hinged case • the clog-form case decorated in various patterns and tones of translucent enamel including red, yellow and blue, the case realistically formed to resemble a Dutch clog.
Mandolin watch of enamelled gold, made by David Gide, Paris, circa 1800. The watch is concealed in the hinged back of the body of the instrument where there is a casemaker’s number. The sound hole, bridge and edge of the body of the instrument and back of the neck are set with half pearls. The peg box and neck are enamelled black, with yellow dots in the centre of each fret.
Edwardian Diamond, Platinum Pendant-Brooch. The brooch features a European-cut diamond measuring 6.50 - 6.45 x 3.90 mm and weighing approximately 0.90 carat, enhanced by European and single-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 3.00 carats, set in platinum, completed by a pinstem, catch and collapsible bale on the reverse.
