Loving this solid walnut buffet makeover by The Modern Vintage. The body was painted in General Finishes Basil Milk Paint, then distressed and glazed in a dark walnut stain. The top was stripped then stained with Early American Water Based Wood Stain.

How to paint a vintage buffet - great tutorial with tips no matter what vintage furniture you're repainting!

This classic Hepplewhite buffet was redesigned in a deep, rich gray - Queenstown Gray Milk Paint by General Finishes. I have been trying out this line of paint and have been very happy with how it goes on and distresses. I rubbed back the paint to allow some of the original wood to show and the contrast is lovely. The top was sanded down and re-stained in General Finishes Java Gel Stain and finished with their Semi-Gloss Top Coat.
