A window in Honan Chapel depicting Saint Gobnait, a saint of particular importance to County Cork. This window used to be in Dublin, where it was nearly destroyed in the Easter Rising. Saint Gobnait was a beekeeper and if you look carefully, you can see several bees in the window.
The stone-faced quadrangle ("The Quad") was built between 1847 and 1849. Within the wings you will find administrative offices, a collection of stones inscribed with ancient Ogham, a visitors center, and the Aula Maxima or Great Hall where formal events take place.
