"...that were mentioned (pagers, mixed cassette tapes, teen magazines ie Tiger Beat & Teen, writing letters, lack of cell phones & social media,). The memories of that fun decade came flooding back. The songs listed at the beginning of each chapter were some of my favorites of that time and were spot on. The characters are likable, both carry guilt, and both need to reclaim their lives..."
"The tone of "Forget About Me" was somewhat more serious than that of the first book due to the painful history between main characters Ben and Lucy, but it still managed to work in a fair amount of humor. Lucy and Ben were both complex, endearing characters and had been through more than their fair share of hardships and grief. I found it very easy to cheer them on to their HEA."
"Laugh, cry, and love all bring this story to life and made for a fantastic listen. Brian Pallino and Emma Wilder are a wonderful team and truly enhance the story. Pallino's portrayal of Ben gives us all the feelings this man has. His inflections and nuances create his personality perfectly. Wilder comes through as Lucy. She is amazing with her voice as she gives us each emotion." - Essential Romance Book Club Narrated by @EmmaWilder and Brian Pallino
"I enjoyed the first book in The Boston Classics series, What I’m Looking For, so I happily signed on for the second book. This is the wistful story of Lucy and Ben. Tragedy cut their relationship short but 8 years later they are back in the same neighborhood they grew up in. A second chance? Perhaps but they’ll need to work through the reasons they went their separate ways years ago..." Narrated by @EmmaWilder and Brian Pallino
"That was fun. And sad. And beautiful. And smart. A real rollercoaster! I loved every second of it. The narration was on point. Emma Wilder’s quavers bring the characters’ emotions to life. You can’t help but feel with them. Oh so many feels! The sound of a rewound tape that announces flashbacks was a stroke of genius, as it serves its purpose while giving an 80’s touch to the narration." -- Vero Ticker
FORGET ABOUT ME: a nostalgic romantic comedy "Forget About Me is the first book I’ve read by Karen Grey, and I quite enjoyed it! "...I also thought that the effects of the audio production were very well done. There was a sound of a tape either rewinding or fast-forwarding to signal the beginning or end of a flashback. It was really a perfect way to communicate those changes to the listener. I would highly recommend this book to fans of romance. I thought that this was a wonderful romance filled with great characters, a lot of chemistry, an adorable dog, and a lot of heart.”
FORGET ABOUT ME: a nostalgic romantic comedy Read FREE on #KU "I grew up in the 80s, so I pretty much love all things to do with that decade. This story was a lot of fun to read with all of those little tidbits in it. I really liked the dynamic between the characters and the way the author played it all out. Of course the dog Puck added so much levity and sweetness to the story, even a bit of heartache towards the end..."
