melted crayon art, similar to what my mom taught us in art class. Her way was to put it on wax paper and bake it in the oven, then cut out a shape to hang on the window like stained glass (: Diy Projects To Try, Crafts For Kids, Craft Projects, Craft Ideas, Fun Ideas, Broken Crayons

recycled crayons With so many broken crayons you can easily 'recycle' them into any cool shape. Remove all wrappers from your crayons and break the crayons into small pieces. Place in a muffin tin (I used a star shaped silicone one) and bake at 275F for about 15 minutes (until all the crayons are melted). Remove from oven and allow to set completely - at least 1 hour. Enjoy your new crayons! Recycled Crayons, Recycled Crafts Kids, Recycled Items, Recycled Projects, It's A Good Life, Diy Holiday Gifts

crayon painting on hot rocks (My 5 year old LOVED this activity. Heated up large rocks in oven for about 15 minutes - placed on cookie sheet lined with wax paper, and then started melting away! The rocks held the heat for a long enough time to melt a bunch of crayons. Watch for burns though - younger kids might not want to attempt this. Will definitely do this again! Place in your oven that has been pre-heated to 300 degrees and baked for 15 minutes. The crayons will become completely liquefied so be careful when you pull them out of the oven. Carefully place them on the counter to cool. You want to make sure that you don't move them around too much and mix the colors more than you want. Wait for about 20 minutes or until the crayon is solid again and then gently remove it from the mold and let cool completely.
