There are a few places in Lausanne where I could spend my entire day happily. Culture Café is probably the no. 1 on this list of mine. It’s a great, family-friendly spot for tasty lunch, homemade pastries, good coffee and positive vibes. Here is an interview with Cyril Musy, the person who created this unique place.
Time for some inspiration! Are you ready? A handmade, personalized gift is one of the things that light me up! Veroniki Nessi is a talented artist based in Ioannina who creates lovely, hand painted items on demand. Her workshop, Pinelies, is located at a small pedestrian street within the charming old town and it’s definitely worth a visit next time you are in town. Check some of her beautiful art and read more about the artist on the blog.

Staying in a traditional mountain village and being able to swim in the mesmerizing waters of the Aegean Sea is, for me, a quintessential experience of Greece. And Amanita guesthouse in Tsagarada is just the perfect base to do just that. Their superb homemade breakfast is a reason to visit on its own. Just imagine that a plethora of fruits and vegetables come from the guesthouse’s own organic garden.

Last August we spent a week exploring Montreal’s Old Town with its fabulous cafes, lovely restaurants and a fantastic location just by the river. We ate gourmet salads at Mandy’s, sweet potato fries and salmon poke bowls at Venice and became regulars at @Crew Collective & Cafe, the coolest coffee place I have ever been to so far. But honestly, the most impressive of all was the locals who are extremely kind and friendly.
