Pants, pants, pants...
The number one question we received over the last year was: “When will you bring pants?” Good news! That day has come. Next Tuesday, we’ll be launching pants matching to your jacket.Best of all: they fit both the new jackets as well as the once from last year. And ladies, we’ve got your back as well. We also designed a pair of women's pants.
Meet the people that made Open Wear possible
An idea can only turn into a sustainable company if there are enough people supporting the goals and vision. Last summer, we launched on Kickstarter to see if we could get enough support for Open Wear. Within 12 hours our Founding Members helped us reach our goal and at the end of the campaign we can look back at a huge list of people that all gave us their trust and believed in us to make our dream come true.
Factory visit Hanoi, Vietnam - The Open One
Two weeks ago we went to Pro Sports in Hanoi, Vietnam. The factory that will produce The Open One. We made all the final preparations and discussed the production planning. First a little more about the factory. Pro Sports is a state-of-the-art facility that is fully socially compliant and have a very pleasant and safe working environment for all the people involved. You can even check out their Facebook page to get an insight in the day to day activities.
Backer's Talk - Paul Norheim
It's been already more than a months since we ended our Kickstarter campaign, but we are still getting great feedback from our community every day. Therefore we thought it was time to do another Backer's Talk. This time we spoke to Paul Norheim, a 21-year-old Norwegian, who has helped us a lot already so far by sorting out how we can best enter the Norwegian market.
The campaign is almost over! One last update before the deadline.
Only 29 more hours before we reach our Kickstarter campaign deadline. To sum it up: it's been really great to receive so much support from all of you. Thanks again for realising our dream. A few important things, more per topic below: Colour stretch goal (most likely) not achieved. Thursday morning you will receive a mail requesting your size and colour. The ventilation at the back will be skipped.
Backer's Talk - Ingo, Sani, Gernot, Christian, Matt & Chris
We believe it's key to listen to your community. The backers from our Kickstarter project are our community from day 1 and form time to time we'd like to share a little background story with all of you. Today we've spoken with a group of almost 40-year olds from Austria. Ingo, Sani, Gernot, Christian, Matt and Chris decided for the 5-pack deal. So they'll all wear the same jacket on their next trip to Jackson Hole (Wyoming) next year.
Unique backer number unlocked and colour stretch goal lowered
Just a quick update. Yay we made it! We are super happy to announce that we have reached our first stretch goal. Each and every backer will get his unique backer number printed into the jacket. Thanks for your great support! Since we have caught the stretch goal virus and all of you have been very active in giving us feedback concerning the colours. We went back to the calculations and were able to lower the first colour addition goal to €80.000,-

Backer's Talk - Vincent de Jong & Mike Woning
Last week we engaged into a conversation with our backer Vincent de Jong and his friend Mike Woning. They correctly pointed out that (smart)phones interfere with signals send by avalanche rescue beacons. We were aware of this when designing the jacket, but also believe that people will wear this jacket way more often than when riding powder.
Stretch goals, a backer improved feature and more...
Another quick update from our side. Since we reached our funding goal, we have spend the last evenings discussing which features and colours we could make available to you, as stretch goals. Let's first start with your requests. There were three main requests...
4 days to go: Sneak Peak
Curious what we've been up to the last days? We've been super busy shooting photos and videos of the Open One. What do you think? Oh, by the way, we are getting closer and closer. Kickstarter has approved our launch and this means we will go live next Monday, June 27th.
