Dust Never Sleeps presents Shanghai as a state of mind, both dreamlike and limitless in its stillness. A composite geometry of neat lines pervades the whole series, it inhabits the urban space and substitutes the habitual crowd. A diffused white invades every layer of the images, mixing the monochromatic sky with the plaster dust raising from the omnipresent construction sites. Transformation, demolition and reconstruction dominate the urban scene; the human presence is rare and framed in an…

The monochromatic rainy sky of Hong Kong is framed by tall skyscrapers. They raise up in vertical rapid lines. The eyes follow the tall walls of the buildings, surpass their windows and reach the sky, glimpsing at an airplane on the verge of the landing. The plane is suspended: time and space coordinates have been cancelled. All the magic of a fragment is caught in one photograph.

 Limited edition of 7 copies.

The tidy, majestic geometry of the Isozaki Tower fills the scene emerging from a dark monochromatic sky. Il Dritto, as the skyscraper is called, was designed by the Japanese architect Arata Isozaki and it is the tallest building of Milan (209,5 meters high), finished in 2015. Il Dritto belongs to the CityLife project, a wide urban requalification plan involving the North-West area of the metropolis and deeply transforming the metropolitan skyline.
