I have seen this filly called "blue roan" more times than I can count. Blue Roan is a *black* horse with the roan gene. Look at her legs - dark red. She is a liver chestnut roan. <--- this is actually a bay roan if you want to be technical
Same thing as a red roan only the red (chestnut) is a liver instead of a simple red tone. It's believed there is a modifier that is yet to be identified that says whether a horse will be a "simple" chestnut or a "liver" chestnut.
Here is a gorgeous Andalusian, also known as the Pure Spanish Horse or Pura Raza Española. Originating from the Iberian Peninsula, they are excellent dressage horses, distinguished by their strong, elegant build and thick mane and tail.
