"Scarce ca. 1890-1910 Japanese Meiji period solid shibiuchi, silver, and mixed metals vase on a raised solid silver pedestal foot, the sides with mixed metal stylized chrysanthemum appliques. Chrysanthemum, of course, the symbol of Japan (菊紋) and symbolizing royalty, longevity and rejuvenation. Hallmarked on base with maker's mark turtle in triangle for master metalsmith, Sanju Saku, Yokohama. Dimensions: 9.25\" x 3\" x 3\".
