In May of 2014 artist Jeff Canham and photographer Kanoa Zimmerman spent a week exploring the state of Oaxaca in southern Mexico, drawn there by the rich tradition of hand-painted signs, the abundance of colorful scenery and the lure of warm water surf. This book is a document of their journey and the images here provided the building blocks for paintings and prints that have been exhibited in Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka, Japan.
