The journey to plastic freedom is made of many journeys. Here is just one of them. Every year, we eliminate more than 1.5 million bottles by bottling our own drinking water in reusable glass bottles. This video illustrates a day in the life of a Six Senses glass bottle. Six Senses Ninh Van Bay is thrilled to introduce Ninh Van Greens, the first in-resort solar farm in Vietnam, named after the resort's unique location and the idea of harnessing solar to power the resort while growing crops for the restaurants and spa. Due to the ingenious placement of the solar panels, the land beneath them can be used to grow organic food crops while energy is being produced.

Introducing Six Senses Svart, the first net energy-positive destination in the world. Poised on poles above the Holandsfjorden fjord, at the foot of the Svartisen glacier within the Arctic Circle in Norway. The ring-shaped Six Senses Svart will be “energy-positive”. This means that not only will it consume 85% less energy than comparable hotels. Polar explorers, eco-warriors, you’re all welcome from 2024.

Zero Emission Day 🚫♻️ Located on the roofs of our resorts at Six Senses Ibiza and Six Senses Laamu are our new solar panels generating clean renewable energy. In Ibiza, this solar photovoltaic technology, supplements geothermal allowing us to reduce carbon emissions by almost 40%. Both resorts are powered by 298+ high-efficiency solar photovoltaic panels, providing around 100 kilowatts of clean energy. This is equivalent to approximately 10% and 15% of the each resort’s electrical consumption

Six Senses guests won't be the only visitors this summer with green sea turtles using this time of year to crawl onto the beaches and lay their nests. Over the coming months, thousands of green sea turtle hatchlings emerge from their nests and scamper down the beach towards the Indian Ocean. Guests who sign up for this experience will receive a call from Isha, the turtle biologist from the Olive Ridley Project, to inform them that the nestwatch cameras have spotted a nest hatching.
