A design-Concept for a Quad-Rotor transport aircraft, done as practice. Got inspired to do this after seeing a model of something similar, but wanted to have a realistic take on it. Messerschmitt Me 323 Gigant. Built as a glider made of tubular steel and wood the first 323 was towed by three Me-110s; a tricky operation. In early 1941 the 323s were fitted with six French Gnome-Rhone GR14N engines, making them capable of transporting 120 fully outfitted troops. Though the 323 could absorb a huge amount of enemy fire (nicknamed "Leukoplastbomber" or Plastic Bomber), it was a large, slow target. 43 323s were lost in N. Africa alone. None are known to have survived past…

Arado Ar 232 - Wikipedia

Arado Ar 232 was a German World War 2 medium transport plane. It was the most advanced plane of its type and the first modern transport. Military transports still follow the principles set forth in this design, essentially a flying boxcar with high tail, rear ramp for loading and low clearance wheels. Only 25 were made but they were reliable and very well liked for their capabilities, including being able to move small vehicles and gasoline.
