The American Civil War was a young man's war and none were younger than the drummer boys. This one looks no more than sixteen. American quarter plate tintype.

Outstanding CDV of two Union veteran soldiers proudly holding the battled and tattered colors from the 111th Pennsylvania Volunteers. Outstanding CDV of two Union veteran soldiers proudly holding the battled and tattered colors from the 111th Pennsylvania Volunteers. The PV participated in some of the wars largest battles, including Antietam, Chancellorsville, Rappahannock Station, Lookout Mountain and Gettysburg.

Issued early 1861, Maryland Confederate Session Ribbon. This appeared when it looked like Maryland would join the CSA. Lincoln of course took steps to prevent this secession.
