Jesse James' body was taken to William Sidenfader’s undertaking establishment and put on ice, where hundreds of people came to view the dead outlaw. According to a reporter, many in the crowd were “ladies and school children, whose involuntary expressions of condolence with the unhappy fate of the outlaw, formed a touching tribute to the memory of the man.” The tall man at center is City Marshal Enos Craig.
