Eagle Cup - Golfclub Matterhorn Zermatt
Matterhorn Eagle Cup: This tournament doesn’t take place on a normal golf course, but in the Alpine landscape, in the midst of natural surroundings, between Rotenboden and Riffelberg in the Gornergrat area, at between 2800 and 2500 metres above sea level. The 9-hole course fits perfectly into the Alpine landscape. The Matterhorn is always in view.
Folklore Festival | Zermatt, Schweiz
Folklore Festival Zermatt: Every year on the second weekend of August, Zermatt is overrun by Swiss Foklore groups from all over the country. The highlight of the Folklore Festival is the main parade through town with 50 different folklore groups with more than 1200 dancers, yoddlers and musicians.
Matterhorn Ultraks SKialp 3K: he Matterhorn Ultraks SkiAlp ski touring races launched in February 2013 and take place in Zermatt every other year, in odd-numbered years. The event alternates with the Patrouille des Glaciers (a team race held in even years: 2014, 2016, and so on).
Swiss Food Festival: Our slogan is Swissness and fine dining. 248 Zermatt Gault&Millau points – as many as nowhere else – invite you on Friday to a kitchen party at the Mont Cervin Palace and Grand Hotel Zermatterhof. Culinary chalets along the «Bahnhofstrasse» offer and inform about regional products.
Zermattt Marathon: Marathon from St. Niklaus (1116 m) to Riffelberg (2582 m). The course covers 42195 metres and conquers over 1900 metres altitude.For the toughest ones: the "ultra" distance, with additional 3.4 km and 514 m of altitude. Finish on the Gornergrat on 3089 m.
Zermatt Unplugged: Founded in 2007 by Thomas Sterchi and Marco Godat as a singer and songwriter festival, Zermatt Unplugged has increasingly developed into a meeting point for fans of unadulterated sounds. Musicians and bands such as Suzanne Vega, Chris de Burgh, Alanis Morissette, Billy Idol, Lionel Richie, Jason Mraz, Stephan Eicher, OneRepublic or Mando Diao have been inspired by the Unplugged idea, and have performed on the Marquee and Club stages of the festiva
