Monday Made it! First time trying spray paint!
I am SO excited I can actually link up with Tara this week for Monday Made-It, and I can finally focus on SCHOOL projects, now that my summer has started! I don't know about you, but I am not the craftiest person. The thought of painting something is scary enough, but when you add paint in a can that sprays many feet away, I am pretty petrified and certain of a disaster. If you remember pictures from my classroom for the past few years, it has been hot pink and zebra. Although my room…
Guided Math Photos
Here is a place to find photos taken of Guided Math in progress. Teacher works in small group as the students learn about 2 digit by 2 digit multiplication. Teacher made a game where students roll 4 dice. Kids are in 2 teams. The teams need to figure out the highest and lowest product. YES, they are writing on the tables with dry erase markers. Dry erase board is there too. Teacher models then allows students to practice with each other. She redirects if students are doing it wrong. Students…

These will be hanging up in our room until we finish all three…

-Ramblings of a Fifth Grade Teacher
July...the month of rejuvenation and the fresh promise of a year filled with Pinteresty quality bulletin boards and lesson plans usually dashed quickly with the reality of too much to do and not enough time. I always find myself experiencing the same sort of summer situation. I have grand plans of turning my home into a Better Homes and Garden house in just the first 2 weeks of summer, followed by 8 weeks of peaceful sunrise coffee on the porch swing. The reality has been 6 weeks of laundry…

Late to the party, but here's my classroom!
I have always been the type of person to over-think whatever it is I am doing. I really do annoy myself at times, because in the end it results in me taking FOR--EEE--VEER to do anything in its entirety! Aaanyhow, that's something that I'm trying to work on, but with two kids, a husband, a house, a busy career, and a demanding second job (TpT)...it's no wonder that some things take longer than others, right? So I'm few weeks into my school year, so these pictures show some not-so-perfect…
