LARGE FEDERAL GILTWOOD CARVED GIRONDOLE MIRROR. First quarter 19th Century American. The round convex mirror plate within a reeded ebony slip set within a molded surround, mounted with spherules flanked by double candle arms each suspended beneath a ropetwist torch. Crested with a well carved giltwood displayed eagle, a ball and chain within its beak, perched on rockwork on a classical form gilt plinth. SIZE: 45" h x 42" w x 7-1/2" d

A Regency Giltwood Convex Mirror, CIRCA 1820, Height: 47" Width: 30 ½". The round convex plate within an ebonised reeded inner slip and molded frame carved with lotus clasps, surmounted by an outstretched eage on a rocky outcropping above a scallop shell flanked by scrolling oak leaves bearing acorns; with a pendant scallop shell apron issuing acanthus sprays.
